TASUED Student Escapes Death After Being Shot In The Leg By A Police Officer During A Stop-and-search
Akorede, a 300-level student at Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, is reportedly writhing in anguish in a hospital after an unnamed police officer attached to Oru divisional police headquarters sh*t in the leg.
According to reports, the event occurred on Wednesday, October 13 during a stop-and-search operation in the Odogbolu area of the state.
“The police officer searched his phone and found nothing. An argument ensued and the suspect brought out his g*n and sh*t the victim in his leg. He almost ran away but was caught by residents who witnessed the incident.
For fear of the officer being lyn*hed, he was taken to the police station while the victim was rushed to the hospital. The b*llet has been extracted from his leg but we doubt Akorede would be able to walk properly again. The Federal Government should please take a concrete action against police br*tality in the country,” a source said.
