BREAKING: Shehu Sani Dumps PRP

Senator Shehu Sani, who served in the 8th Senate representing Kaduna Central, has left the Peoples Redemption Party.

This was stated in a letter written by the former legislator and addressed to the chairman of the party in Tudun Wada, Kaduna’s ward six.

The letter, headed ‘Formal Notification Of My Decision To Step Aside From The Party,’ was obtained by NEWS DIRECT and was dated July 9, 2021.

It read, “I wish to formally notify you of my decision to step aside from the Peoples Redemption Party. This notice takes effect from today.”

“I hope we shall continue to relate in the spirit of our struggle, our shared history, and our common ideological principles. Accept the best wishes of my highest regard.”

He did not give any explanation for leaving the PRP in his letter, nor did he specify which political party he would join next.

After leaving the All Progressives Congress in October 2018, Sani joined the PRP.

The PRP was founded in the Second Republic and led by Mallam Aminu Kano, a late elder statesman who had left the National Party of Nigeria.
