I am committed to Oyetola’s Success – Senator Ajibola Bashiru
Senator Ajibola Bashiru representing Osun Senatorial district, has said he is committed to the success of Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola.
Mr Bashiru who served as the Attorney-General of the state during the administration of Rauf Aregbesola also denied reports that he made disparaging comments about the minister of interior.
The senator made this known in a statement written on his Facebook page on Wednesday, saying he respect the political and personal relationship he has with the duo.
“My attention has been drawn severally to a post by one irresponsible anti- party element falsely claiming I made disparaging remarks about my Leader, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in favour of another Leader of mine, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.
“I have also read some other disparaging comments against me from elements committed apparently to drawing me to the mindless attempt at fictionalization of our great party.
“I say here unequivocally that Baba Bisi Akande, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola and Governor Gboyega Oyetola are my leaders and I do not have a problem with any of them in respect of my relationship with them personally and politically.

“It is preposterous that some people think that fomenting trouble is the way up politically.
“I am committed to the unity and cohesiveness of our party, the success of our state administration under Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the success of my representation of Osun Central Senatorial District,” he said.
News Direct is aware that there is an ongoing rift between Mr Oyetola and his predecessor, Mr Aregbesola.
The rift rose from claims by Mr Aregbesola’s loyalists that Mr Oyetola had excluded them from his government.
They argued that the governor had instead accommodated Iyiola Omisore, a former deputy governor to run the affairs of the state.
