Mojisola Awesu, a 21-year-old student at the Kwara State College of Health Technology, who had been missing since August 9, 2024, has been found dead at a refuse site in the Aleniboro area of Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the tragic discovery on Tuesday. DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer, provided details of the case, revealing that Mojisola had received a phone call on August 9 from a woman named Timileyin, inviting her to an event supposedly organized by students from Summit University, Offa, and Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.

Timileyin introduced Mojisola to a man named Adebayo Happiness, a student at Summit University, who allegedly offered her ₦15,000 to pose as his girlfriend at a night party. However, Mojisola later informed her roommate, Blessing O., that she felt uneasy in the hotel where Adebayo had lodged her, and noted that there was no party at the location. Shortly after this communication, her phone was switched off, and all attempts by her roommate to reach her were unsuccessful.
