Dele Momodu Tells PDP To Deal With Wike, Reveals His Offences

Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has urged the party’s leadership to take decisive action against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his actions against the party.

Momodu expressed his frustration, stating that if he had the authority, he would have disciplined Wike long ago. The call for action comes in the wake of the PDP’s acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum’s vow to sanction Wike at the appropriate time for his perceived disloyalty to the PDP. Wike had openly supported President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the February 25 election, going against the PDP’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The ongoing feud between Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara in Rivers State has resulted in 25 members of the state House of Assembly, loyal to Wike, defecting to the APC, along with the resignation of some commissioners from the state executive council.

Speaking on Arise Television, Momodu emphasized that the PDP leadership should not tolerate Wike’s actions any longer and should put an end to his disruptive behavior.

He remarked, “If I had the power, I would have punished Wike long ago. The PDP leadership must have its reasons for keeping him while he continues to trouble the party. He wants to eat his cake and have it.”
