Following a fairly disparaging remark made about him by the state governor of Rivers, Reuben Abati, a seasoned journalist, has taken on Nyesom Wike.
On Friday of last week, Governor Wike spoke to reporters at the Port Harcourt International Airport. He accused Atiku of telling lies in a recent interview done by Abati and Tundun Abiola.
In his remarks, Governor Wike chastised Abati and questioned why journalists no longer pursue investigative stories. He claims that after reading and listening to some of Abati’s writing, he starts to wonder where Nigeria is going.
This morning, Abati took out time while on Arise TV to reply the governor. He said he doesn’t know where Governor Wike was when he started the profession many years ago and that the Governor does not have the capacity and intellect to teach him journalism.
