Prices of food under Tinubu’s government
Nigerians have expressed dissatisfaction with the current prices of food items since President Bola Tinubu took office.
Since Tinubu was sworn in as President and announced the removal of fuel subsidy, prices of goods and commodities have skyrocketed, causing discomfort for many Nigerians across the country.
Fuel prices have increased, food prices have soared, and the economy has raised concerns, prompting calls for the government to address hunger.
In a photo circulating online, a list showing the previous and current prices of food was listed.
It was stated that Sardine, which was sold at N300 is now sold at N1,200.

Evaporated milk sold at N250, is now going for N700. Spaghetti which was sold at N300 now sells at N900. A cup of beans, sold at N350 is now being sold at N1100. Garri, sold at N800, now sells at N2,000. Frozen fish, sold at N700, is now sold at N3,000. 10 pieces of tomatoes, previously N250, are currently selling at N2500.
The surge in prices has caused many to suffer as they are unable to provide for themselves and their families.
