EXCLUSIVE: ISWAP Fighters Send Letters To Adamawa Communities Threatening Christmas Season Attacks
The Boko Haram terrorist group’s Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) has threatened to target various communities in Adamawa State during the Christmas season.
The letters were distributed in public areas throughout the settlements, inhabitants of Bazza in the Michika Local Government Area informed SaharaReporters, alerting them of an upcoming strike.
Shehu Kambile, who hails from Michika, told SaharaReporters that “yes, threat letters were dropped in Bazza and Michika towns. The terrorists have warned of an impending attack on our communities during Christmas festivities.
“As it is, our people have been terrified because the terrorists have earned a reputation of carrying out their threat anytime they make one. Should that threat happen, it would be more devastating because of the current hardship occasioned by the prevailing bad economy in the country.
“We’re praying and hoping the military and other operatives would deploy intelligence so as to nip it in bud.”
When contacted, the spokesperson for the police, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, said, “I don’t know if the DPO (Divisional Police Officer) of Michika had briefed the Commissioner on the matter this morning.
Exposed!! Popular Abuja doctor revealed how men can naturally and permanently cure poor erection, quick ejaculation, small and shameful manhood without side effects. Even if you are hypertensive or diabetic . Stop the use of hard drugs for sex!! It kills!
“Better still, let me call the DPO, after which I’ll get back to you as soon as possible please.”
The Brigade Commander, 23 Brigade Yola, Aminu Garba said, the area was not under his command.
“Please contact Commander 28 Brigade Chibok. They are not under my Brigade. I’m not aware. The issue of threat letters has now become a routine, let them come and see if they will go back”, he said.
Michika has been an epicenter of terrorists’ attacks in Adamawa State.
Recall that the chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the area, Pastor Lawan Andami, was kidnapped and later killed last year January by ISWAP terrorists.
