Drama: Govt Takes Action As Thugs Attack Senator During Visit To Kogi Governor
The Kogi State Government has taken a swift action on the thugs who earlier attacked a Senator in the Government House.
The government disclosed that it has apprehended six individuals associated with the harassment of National Assembly member, Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho during his visit to Governor Yahaya Bello at the Lugard House office in Lokoja.
In response to the incident, the Governor imposed a ban on unauthorized access to the Government House and called for the swift prosecution of those involved.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Mohammed, stated on Wednesday, “Shortly after the fruitful discussion, the Governor received with rude shock the news of the harassment of some of the lawmakers on their way out of the Government House and swiftly ordered the arrest of the culprits.”
Governor Bello directed security agencies to thoroughly investigate the issue and ensure that the offenders face the full wrath of the law. He emphasized, “I will never condone acts of hooliganism and indiscipline.”
