Don’t Wait Till Nigerians Start Stoning You- Primate Ayodele Sends Disturbing Message To Tinubu

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has called on President Bola Tinubu to address the escalating economic challenges in Nigeria promptly, emphasizing that delay may lead to public discontent.

In a statement by his spokesperson, Oluwatosin Osho, the clergyman expressed concern that the economic situation is deteriorating daily and cautioned Tinubu to prioritize its resolution.

Ayodele issued a warning to Tinubu, stating that failure to address the economic woes could result in widespread protests. He highlighted the prevalent hunger among the populace, emphasizing that salary earners are struggling to meet their basic needs with their current incomes. The spiritual leader urged the president to take immediate action before the situation escalates to the point where people resort to stoning politicians.

In a direct quote from Ayodele, he emphasized, “If Tinubu doesn’t get to work immediately and find a way to solve our economic issues, there will be massive protests. The people are crying already, salary earners are not satisfied and it will get to a state where governors will not be able to pay salaries again.”

He urged Tinubu not to wait for public outrage to spur action, stating, “Don’t wait till they start stoning you and every politician before working, you need to do something now; there is serious hunger in the land. It will also affect some African nations. The president should do the needful.”

Recalling his 2024 prophecies, Primate Ayodele outlined five key areas for President Tinubu to focus on for the country’s progress: ensuring stable electricity supply, improving security with additional weapon procurement, developing infrastructural facilities, prioritizing agriculture for food sufficiency, and creating employment opportunities.
