COVID-19: FG Lifts Ban On Emirate Airline
The prohibition imposed on Emirates Airlines due to COVID-19 requirements for Nigerian passengers has been lifted by the federal government.
Following the disagreements, the federal government imposed a ten-month ban on the airline.
Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation who announced the lifting of the ban, stated that the airline had relaxed some of its travel restrictions for Nigeria.
The removal of the ban is the result of months of negotiations between Nigeria and the airline, according to Sirika.
“Today, we received communications from Emirates removing some of the conditions for travelling for which we had concerns,” he said.
“Having done that, it is necessary to lift the ban on Emirates.
