JUST IN: IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu Arraigned In Abuja

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra, has been charged at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The arrest of the IPOB leader was announced by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, on Tuesday afternoon, according to NEWS DIRECT.

Malami stated that Kanu was apprehended on Sunday, but did not specify where or how the fugitive IPOB leader was apprehended.

Kanu is charged by the AGF of utilizing various social media platforms to incite violence in the South-East geopolitical zone.

On Tuesday, Kanu was taken to the Federal High Court in Abuja, where the judge ordered an expedited hearing in the case.

Kanu has been remanded with the Department of State Services, and his case has been scheduled for hearing on July 26 and 27, 2021.
