[BREAKING] Timothy Adegoke: Judge Stands Down Case As Second Defendant Slumps In Court

Following the untimely illness of Magdalene Chiefuna, the second defendant in the case, the murder trial of Timothy Adegoke, an OAU postgraduate student, has been put on hold.

Following the conclusion of the prosecution case in March, the defendants were scheduled to begin their defense today.

Around 9:05 a.m., learned silk representing the defendants and the state counsel were debating whether it was proper to hand over the case to Mr Femi Falana, a human rights lawyer who was present in court, when the second defendant abruptly slumped.

Before court clerks and correctional officers arrived to help her, she was coughing a lot.

Justice Adepele Ojo, the presiding judge, swiftly adjourned the case to allow the defendant to be seen.
