BREAKING: Tension In Kano As Police Disperse Protesters Breaking Into A Big Shop

Operatives of the Kano State Police Command dispersed youths attempting to break into Sadaraki Stores on Zoo Road in the state capital.

The suspects tried to force entry into the two-story building but were thwarted by the police. Before the security forces arrived, the suspects had already damaged the building’s windows.

There is low compliance with the hunger protest in Kano, with many residents staying indoors. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf revealed on Wednesday that he had received intelligence about plans by malicious individuals to hijack the protest. He invited genuine protesters to the Government House in Kano and warned troublemakers to stay away from the state.
