BREAKING: Panic In Kano As Angry Protesters Set Bonfire At Kano Govt House (PHOTOS)

Protesters have set up a bonfire at the Kano Government House amid reports of violence in various parts of the city.

The protesters, who had gathered from across the city, were expecting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to address them. However, as they approached the gate, a group of protesters assembled tyres and set them ablaze, leading to a confrontation with security operatives.

The security personnel responded by firing gunshots and teargas to disperse the protesters, causing the crowd to flee in different directions amidst the confusion.

Governor Yusuf revealed on Wednesday that he had received intelligence about individuals planning to hijack the protest. He invited genuine protesters to gather at Government House, Kano, and issued a stern warning to troublemakers to stay away from the state.

Nigerians are protesting, demanding good governance amidst the country’s dire economic situation.
