Hoodlums Set Ablaze Senator Jibrin’s Campaign Office In Kano

Hundreds of hoodlums set fire to the Gubernatorial Campaign Office of one of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s political opponents, Sen. Barau Jibrin of Kano’s north senatorial district, on Thursday.

In the early hours of Thursday, some of the attackers were claimed to have gone to the Senator’s office on Maiduguri Road with hazardous weapons.

Police officers had already stopped an attempt by hoodlums headed to Senator Barau’s house along Ibrahim Dabo Road, according to an eyewitness who spoke on the condition of anonymity to The PUNCH.

The thugs also vandalized a segment of the All Progressives Congress’s new headquarters on Zoo Road, which is supposed to be occupied by the party’s chairman, Alhaji Ahmadu Haruna Zago.

The police spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, could not be reached since his phone was shut off.
