National Assembly Member, Other High-profile Financers Of Igboho, Nnamdi Kanu Identified – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that some of the funders of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, and Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, the Yoruba nation agitator, have been identified.

The President announced in his speech on Friday to commemorate the country’s 2021 Independence Day that a serving member of the National Assembly had been recognized as one of the country’s secessionists.

His government, he said, was pursuing the funders aggressively, claiming that the accused sponsors had abandoned their leadership responsibilities for what he called selfish greed.

The President said, “The recent arrests of Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Adeyemo, and the ongoing investigations being conducted have revealed certain high-profile financiers behind these individuals.

“We are vigorously pursuing these financiers, including one identified as a serving member of the National Assembly. This is a clear example of how people abandon their national leadership positions for their selfish gains.

“Instead of preaching unity, they are funding and misleading our youth to conduct criminal acts that sometimes lead to unfortunate and unnecessary loss of lives and property.”
