EPL: Klopp reveals he wants to beat Guardiola ahead of Man City vs Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has confessed that he is driven by a desire to dethrone Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City.

Klopp dubbed Guardiola the “greatest in the world” ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated match.

“I always wanted to be the coach of the team that can beat the best team in the world,” he said, qualifying his praise.

“What I say about City, I mean it,” Klopp remarked.

“I have no problem with Pep being the best coach in the world, but I’ve always wanted to be the coach of a squad that can beat the best team in the world.”

“And, somehow, I did it as well – now we just have to make sure Sunday is the day.” There’s some work to be done, but we’ve got time and nothing else to do, so let’s give it a shot.”

Liverpool are in second place, one point behind City, heading into the meeting at the Etihad.
