BREAKING: Murder Case Opened Against Prime Minister Who Resigned, Ran Out The Country

A court in Bangladesh has initiated a murder investigation against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and six top officials from her administration, following the police killing of a man during recent civil unrest.

Hasina, 76, fled to India by helicopter last week after mass protests erupted in Dhaka, marking a sudden end to her authoritarian rule.

The case was filed by lawyer Mamun Mia on behalf of a private citizen, and the Dhaka Metropolitan Court has ordered police to proceed with the investigation. The accused include former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, and four senior police officers, including ex-Inspector General Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun.

This investigation marks the first legal step towards holding these officials accountable under Bangladeshi law.
