BREAKING: Lagos Speaker, Obasa, Loses His Father

The father of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has passed away. Pa Suleimon Atanda Obasa, aged 83, a respected businessman, breathed his last in the early hours of Tuesday.

This information was conveyed through a statement issued by Eromosele Ebhomele, the Chief Press Secretary to the speaker.

Described as a devoted family man and a pillar in his community, Baba Obasa made significant strides in the oil and gas as well as transportation sectors, being the owner of several filling stations. He was also renowned for his achievements in agriculture, uplifting numerous individuals through farming initiatives.

A devout follower of Islam, Pa Obasa devoted his life to serving Allah and humanity, extending aid to the underprivileged and vulnerable.

He is survived by his spouses, children, grandchildren, including the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The final rites for Pa Obasa will be conducted at 4pm in the Agege area of Lagos State, following Islamic customs.
