BREAKING: Gunmen Strike Anambra Again Days After Akunyili’s Death, Sack Police Station, Kill Officers
In Anambra State, 48 hours after the death of Dr Chike Akunyili, the widower of the late Minister of Information, Prof Dora Akunyili, and others, gunmen have invaded and killed police officers and civilians again.
The gunmen attacked the Ajalli Police Station in various vehicles on Thursday afternoon, according to the Daily Post.
Orumba North Local Government Area’s headquarters is Ajalli.
The police station was engulfed in flames, and several persons were said to be trapped inside.
Residents were seen attempting to rescue them using different things and tools.
One of the officers’ body was discovered on the floor with a bullet hole in the back of his skull, indicating that he was killed in an execution-style manner.
