BREAKING: Governor Soludo’s Aguata LG Headquarters Under Heavy Attack

Arsonists are currently attacking the headquarters of the Aguata Local Government Area in Anambra State, who are thought to be “unknown gunmen” in the South-East.

Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the freshly sworn-in Governor of the State, is from Aguata.

The perpetrators, who are believed to be the same people that assaulted the council’s market, Eke Ekwulobia, set fire to the council’s headquarters on Thursday afternoon.

“Following the report of the fire incident at the Local Government headquarters, the command has deployed troops to the location and the situation has been brought under control,” DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said when reached.

Ikenga, the spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, also stated that firefighters have been contacted and are currently battling the blaze.
