BREAKING: Former INEC Chairman Attahiru Jega’s Mother Dead

Hajia Hauwa Jega, mother of former INEC Chairman, and ex-Vice Chancellor, Bayero University, Kano, Prof. Muhammad Attahiru Jega is dead.

Hajia Hauwa died on Friday in Abuja, after a brief illness.

The family has announced that funeral prayers will be held at the National Mosque in Abuja, today, Saturday at 1:30 pm. She will be laid to rest at Gudu Cemetery, Abuja, immediately after the prayers.

She was in her mid-90s and is survived by some notable personalities such as Malam Mahmud Jega, a respected journalist and columnist, and Alhaji Abbas Jega, a former Executive Director of AMCON.
