Nigerians Tired Of Weak, Mediocre Presidents – Catholic Bishop Speaks Ahead Of 2023

Nigerians are tired of weak and mediocre leaders, according to the Catholic Bishop of Ekiti Diocese, Most Rev. Felix Ajakaye.

While asking Nigerians to pick a competent and healthy president in 2023, Bishop Ajakaye made the comment.

Nigerians, he added, should elect leaders who will improve the country by 2023.

Ajakaye gave a lecture titled “Ekiti Politics And The Search for Great Leadership” at the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Ekiti State Council, in Ado Ekiti, to commemorate the 2021 Annual Lecture/Award presentation of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Ekiti State Council.

The clergyman noted that zoning protests may not be out of place, but that candidates’ competence, health, and intellect must be taken into account.

“We are tired of a weak president. We shouldn’t allow mediocre to be leading us and if we allow that, then we are in serious trouble,” he said.
