Over 300 Bandits Attack Katsina, Kill 12, Injure Many

On Saturday, around 300 bandits equipped with modern weaponry attacked Duba hamlet in Batsari LGA, Katsina State.

While looting multiple shops in the vicinity, the robbers, who were claimed to be armed with General Purpose Machine Guns, or GPMGs, killed at least twelve people and injured a large number of others.

According to NEWS DIRECT, approximately 300 criminals invaded the Duba village, shooting randomly into the air before looting various shops and rustling some domestic animals belonging to the people.

However, a police spokesman claimed that the hoodlums are being pursued by a joint squad of security personnel while the inquiry continues.

According to a community source, the bodies of the deceased were buried on Sunday, and those who were injured are being treated at the hospital.

The Batsari local government region is one of the worst-affected areas in the state by bandits.
