PDP May Not Have Candidates In Anambra – Group

There is currently chaos in Anambra chapter of the PDP as party stakeholders have alleged a high level conspiracy not to hold 3-man delegates and primaries in the state.

In a press release signed by Barr Jude Onyia and Hon. Peter Udalor the Anambra Stakeholders alleged a plot by the National Leadership of PDP to violate article 1.12 of INEC Guidelines “as it concerns the issue of rescheduling of congress/ ward Congresses.

According to the stakeholders;
“Chief Andy Uba and Senator Stella Oduah having the connivance of some members of the nwc are now boasting of colluding with the director of monitoring at inec headquarters to hold a fraudulent 3-man Adhoc ward Congresses, totally against inec Guidelines of 7days notice and in disregard of the wishes of the party members in the state.

“As it stands, majority of the aspirants are now negotiating with YPP and APC as they know that Anambra PDP will most likely not present candidates. Even the letter submitted by the National Chairman bears the date of 23rd May giving inec 24hrs notice to conduct a Congresses in direct conflict and a complete negation if inec guidelines”.

“The funniest part is that the chairman of the congress Committee, Elder Efere Austine who is a staff and a lackey of Chief Chris Uba is still in Uba’s house in Samora Machel, Asokoro with the original result sheets and which is being filled by Uba’s security aides”

“Anambra PDP stakeholders have lost faith in the Iyiorcha Ayu-led NWC. PDP NWC has failed Anambra PDP,” the stakeholders said.

The stakeholders ended with a plea to inec Chairman to call the director of monitoring to order and get the inec to obey a valid court judgement which is totally in line with the Congresses conducted so far and as monitored by inec.
