Aisha Buhari, Children Move To London Ahead Of Buhari’s Medical Trip

Prior to President Buhari’s medical vacation, Aisha Buhari is anticipated to go out of Nigeria to London, United Kingdom.

Aisha Buhari is expected to join some of her children who have fled Nigeria, according to SaharaReporters.

President Buhari is expected to travel to London with his wife and children on an unspecified date.

“All President Muhammadu Buhari’s children have moved to London in advance of his medical trip. He will travel anytime from now. His wife, Aisha will join the children today,” a source told SaharaReporters.

Buhari had previously indicated that his medical trip to London, which had been scheduled for Friday, would be postponed.

In a statement, Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, did not mention any reasons for the postponement.

A new date will be provided in due time, according to the statement.

Buhari’s trip to the United Kingdom drew criticism for taking place at a time when Nigerian physicians were threatening to strike.

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) had warned the federal government that if it did not resolve all pending issues impacting the union within four weeks, the union will suffer the consequences.

During a press conference, the association’s president, Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, stated that the ultimatum was issued following a meeting of the union’s national executive council (NEC).

He blamed the government of failing to approach their issues and agreements with the urgency that they deserved, necessitating the deadline.

Remember that the physicians started a strike on April 1 but called it off on April 10 after reaching an agreement with the government to address their 13-point demand.

But, according to Okhuaihesuyi, the administration has yet to honor the agreements established before the strike was called off.
