Two Kidnapped As Bandits Attack Zamfara General Hospital

Armed men suspected of being bandits have stormed a general hospital in the Dansadau town of Zamfara State’s Maru local government area.

The incident occurred on Friday, according to NEWS DIRECT, when criminals broke into the hospital and kidnapped two health personnel.

Dr. Mannir Bature, the chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association’s Zamfara State Chapter, verified the occurrence to Channels Television.

According to him, the robbers invaded the hospital with the purpose of kidnapping the hospital’s medical professionals and nurses, but after a search, they only managed to take a ward attendant and a patient’s relative.

He also revealed that two other female hospital employees were injured during the raid.

Following the event, Dr. Bature stated that the NMA Zamfara branch will host an emergency state officers council meeting at the NMA Secretariat on Saturday, July 31, 2021 to discuss the matter.

SP Mohammed Shehu, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, was unable to receive calls or respond to text messages provided to him.
