2022: Fayose Rain Curses On Ekiti PDP Governorship Aspirants (Video)

Former governor Ayodele Fayose has cursed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants contesting against preferred candidate Otunba Bisi Kolawole ahead of the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti State.

In Efon Alaaye Ekiti, Bisi Kolawole’s hometown, Fayose was seen in a viral video cursing and insulting other PDP governorship aspirants who were against his preferred candidates.

According to reports in Nigeria, former governor Ayo Fayose has endorsed Otunba Bisi Kolawole, the state’s current Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as his preferred candidate for the governorship election in 2022.

Kolawole, who hails from Efon Alaaye in the Ekiti Central Senatorial District, served in the House of Assembly from 2007 to 2011 and served as the Commissioner for Environment under Fayose’s administration from 2015 to 2018.

On Sunday evening, Fayose and other party stalwarts stormed Efon-Alaaye, where they were greeted by the party chairman, his wife, Efon local government PDP chairman, Yemi Ajanaku, and other town party chieftains.

Fayose was led to the palace of Efon-Alaye, Oba Samuel Adeniran Asusumasa Atewogboye II, by party chieftains, where Kolawole and his wife were introduced to the monarch and his chiefs, with the monarch praying for the aspirant’s success.

Following that, the former governor proceeded to the event venue and declared Kolawole’s endorsement to the Efon Alaaye group.

Fayose, who prayed for favoured candidate Bisi Kolawola in Efon Alaaye, the aspirant’s hometown, and cursed the party’s other worthy candidates.

On Tuesday morning, a video was circulated on some prominent PDP family Whatapp groups, showing Fayose cursing other PDP aspirants in Ekiti.

In a video obtained by Newsflash Nigeria, Fayose prayed in Yoruba for his favorite candidate, though he doesn’t name any candidates, and then went on a cursing spree against those who are running against him.

Addressing the party’s representatives, the majority of whom were delegates, Kolawole said that his ambition was for the betterment of Ekiti.

“I’m just a sign for the party,” he says. The fact that our leader, Oshokomole, has chosen and endorsed me brings me joy, and I will not betray this trust and confidence. Even so, no one would be forced to accept anything. He said, “There will still be a free, equal, and reliable primary election.”
