On 16th April, 2024 the Concerned All Progressive Congress Members (CAM) in a statement released by the convener of the association, Okpokwu Ogenyi while reacting to the APC Executives in Dawakin ward under Tofa LGA of Kano over the suspension of the National Chairman of the party, Umar Ganduje revealed that the National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was ready to return to the APC but did not want to join the party with Ganduje as the National Chairman of APC.
According to TheCable, the Concerned All Progressive Congress Members (CAM), Okpokwu Ogenyi said “The impostors even went far in using the name of our Party’s legal adviser in Ganduje ward to announce the purported suspension of our workaholic National Chairman without the prior concept of the said legal adviser, even though a legal adviser lacks the powers to suspend officers of the party hence such powers are vested on the ward chairman. Gentlemen of the Press, it is obvious that the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso-led faction of the NNPP is ready to return to the APC but does not want to join our party with Ganduje as the National Chairman.”
It was gathered that the twenty-seven party leaders of Ganduje ward of Kano State led by the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the ward of the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Ahmed Mohammed Ganduje emphasized that those who announced the suspension of the National Chairman of the party, as a member of the APC were sponsored by the Kano State New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and they were not members of the APC.
