Former APC Spokesman Dumps Party

Ogbanna Nwuke, the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) immediate past Publicity Secretary in Rivers State, has formally left the party.

Nwuke recently resigned his position as the spokesman of the party.

Addressing journalists in Port Harcourt on Monday, Nwuke said his decision followed his perceived “marginalization and abandonment of Etche people” under the watch of his friend and the current administration of federal government led by the APC.

The former APC spokesman, however, explained that he was yet to decide on the political party to join but failed to rule out the People’s Democratic party as his next destination even as he noted that he has now decided to ” align with those who are ready to develop Etche”.

Nwuke said for six years Etche people were yet to feel any “impact of the federal government” particularly in the “empowerment, appointment and infrastructural development”.

He claimed that it was wrong for him to remain in a party that promised his people change but never bothered to effect it.

The former APC spokesman also said he is happy that he left the party more united than as he met it when he took over the affairs of information management.
