Salisu Zakar, Commissioner for Jigawa, dies.

After a brief illness, Salisu Zakar, the Jigawa State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, passed away at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano State.

He passed away at the age of 60, according to Commissioner of Special Duties Auwalu Danladi Sankara, who verified his death.

“We announce the passing of Salisu Zakar, the Commissioner of Commerce and Industry and a member of the Jigawa State Executive Council, with a sorrowful heart,” he stated.

Salisu Zakar worked for Jigawa State before his passing in a variety of positions. He began in the civil service and advanced to become the chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and then the commissioner for commerce and industry.
