In Kano State, campaign posters showing Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje have filled main roads ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.
In strategic areas across the state, posters with the words “Osinbajo-Ganduje Alliance (OGA), For Better Nigeria OGA Na Master” were seen.
Areas such as Total near the Airport Road Roundabout, Ahmadu Bello Way by Shekarau House, Murtala Muhammad Way, Kano Club Roundabout, and Independence Way Roundabout, according to Legit.
Despite the fact that no one has claimed ownership for the campaign posters, an organization called Alliance Support has endorsed Osinbajo and Ganduje for the president.
Messrs Oluleke Mose and Bello Adamu Mohammed, the group’s leaders, said they endorsed the duo’s candidacy for a united and better Nigeria.
They believe that coupling Vice President Osinbajo, who hails from the second-biggest voting zone, with Ganduje, who hails from the largest voting zone, might be a political coup in 2023.
The group said, “We believe that if power rotates to the South, Osinbajo is best placed to unite, heal and inspire our great nation.
“We also firmly believe that Ganduje’s antecedents as Governor of Kano make him the perfect Northern vice presidential candidate to Osinbajo; one who will advance and protect the interests of a Northern Nigeria plagued by poverty and insecurity.
“Vice President Osinbajo and Governor Ganduje have both offered the most plausible solutions to ending the security crisis occasioned by the farmers-herders crisis across the country.”
