“VPN Exposes Your Data, Stop Using It To Access Twitter” — Lai Mohammed Warns Nigerians
Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has issued a strong warning to Nigerians who visit Twitter over a virtual private network (VPN).
Recall that the Federal Government stopped popular microblogging platform Twitter a few weeks ago, claiming that it was capable of inciting civil war in the country.
Lai Mohammed cautioned Nigerians not to use VPN to access Twitter in a new video published by OAK Tv.
He went on to say that VPNs can disclose all of one’s data, including bank account details, which is dangerous.
Nigerians should think of a method to create an app that can replace Twitter and be used by other countries, according to Lai Mohammed.
