Two NNPP Candidates For National Assembly Defect To APC In Zamfara
The New Nigerians Peoples Party’s (NNPP) senate candidate for Zamfara North, Ibrahim Shinkafi, has joined the APC (APC).
Shinkafi and Suleiman Garba, the APC’s candidate for the house of representatives in the Shinkafi/Zurmi seat, reportedly received a warm greeting from Abdulaziz Yari, the former governor of Zamfara, on Monday in Talata Marafa.
In addition to the two, Suleiman Galadi, the state’s NNPP treasurer, and Aminu Kanoma, the coordinator of a PDP organization, were reportedly welcomed to the APC, according to a statement by Dahiru Mafara, Yari’s media assistant.
“The NNPP Chairmen of the Kaura-Namoda and Zurmi Local Governments were also among the defectors. Aminu Kanoma, the Coordinator of the foundation for the actualization of the PDP governorship candidate in 2023, is also among the defectors, according to the statement.
