2027: El-Rufai Visits SDP Secretariat, Sparks Rumour He Plans To Dump APC (VIDEO)
Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, made a significant move ahead of the 2027 general elections by visiting the Abuja National Secretariat of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Wednesday.
According to a source, El-Rufai held a consultation meeting with the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam.
Despite being a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and previously serving as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) earlier, he was nominated as a Minister under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, but the Senate refused to confirm him.
El-Rufai’s recent engagement with the SDP indicates a potential shift in his political alliances with speculations rife that he might be planning to dump the ruling APC for SDP to contest for a top post in the 2027 general elections.
