Singer Davido Loses 6 Friends In Four Years

Aside from his famous songs, singer Davido is well-known for his affection for his family and close friends, who also serve as members of his crew.

Sadly, the artist has been mourning his close friends and crew members over the last few years.

Between 2017 and 2021, the Assurance singer lost a number of close friends who, he admits, meant a lot to him.

NEWS DIRECT takes a trip down memory lane in this story to remember the close friends the father of three has lost in the last four years.

1. Tagbo

Tagbo Umeike was Davido’s first friend to die in 2017. This sparked a firestorm of controversy, as the artist was accused of knowing about his young friend’s murder.

It was later discovered that Tagbo died of suffication.

2. DJ Olu

Olugbenga Abiodun, better known as DJ Olu, was discovered dead in a BMW parked in a garage at Banana Island a few weeks after Tagbo’s death. He was the son of Dapo Abiodun, the current governor of Ogun State.

3. Chime

DJ Olu, a close buddy of Davido’s, died together with Chime, another close friend.

4. Ahmed

Davido took to Instagram to grieve the passing of his close buddy Ahmed, also known as King Jhafi, over three years after Tagbo and DJ Olu died.

However, the cause of his death was not revealed.

5. Tunji

In 2020, Davido lost his personal bodyguard, Tunji, shortly after Ahmed died.

Davido claimed that he had been with Tunji for 11 years until he died. He also highlighted some of Tunji’s thoughtful gestures toward him.

6. Obama DMW

On Tuesday, June 29, Davido’s road manager passed away. The young man died of heart failure, according to reports. He drove himself to the hospital after complaining of breathing problems, according to reports.
