Kano Hisbah Destroys Alcohol Worth N100m In Kano

The Kano State Hisba Board has destroyed almost N100 million worth of confiscated alcohol bottles.

The state commandant, Shiekh Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn, conducted the drill on Wednesday in Kalebawa in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state.

The alcohol bottles, he added, were intercepted in various operations carried out across the state’s 44 local governments.

He explained that it was part of the board’s efforts to reduce alcohol and other intoxicant consumption across the state.

Ibn Sina revealed that the N100 million worth of alcohol bottles were burned after a court order was issued.

He stated that the command will continue to step up its efforts to combat all types of social vices throughout the state.
