Real Madrid’s New Signing, David Alaba Contracts Coronavirus

David Alaba, a defender for Real Madrid, has tested positive for COVID-19.

On Wednesday, Real Madrid issued a statement on its website announcing the news.

The statement read, “Real Madrid C. F. would like to notify that our player, David Alaba, has tested positive for COVID-19.”

This comes less than a week after Real Madrid made Alaba their official player.

Alaba, a former Bayern Munich player, is the second member of the Real Madrid squad to test positive for COVID-19 this summer.

Karim Benzema is still in Lyon after submitting a positive test result moments before his return to Real Madrid was set to take place.

Alaba has been placed in isolation for the next few days.
