Police Take Over Venue Of Yoruba Self-Determination Rally

The Nigeria Police Force has taken over Mapo Hall, the Ibadan venue to sensitise people about Yoruba self-determination which was organised by the Prof Banji Akintoye-led Ilana Odua.

The 86 years old Emeritus Professor of History planned to lead the rally but reports from sources closer to the hall observed that the venue is surrounded by armed policemen and armour personnel carrier.

Further findings revealed that more than 20 police vehicles including patrol vans in Mapo Area.

Following this, organisers of this rally have not been seen at the venue although some members came earlier but left because of that situation there.
