Police Foils Kidnap Attempt In Kaduna, Rescues 16 Victims

On Monday, the Kaduna Police Command announced that 16 abduction victims had been freed from their captors.

On January 16, 2022, officers rescued the 16 victims from their kidnappers, according to the Command’s Public Relations Officer.

He said the Command received information from Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Buruku that some people suspected of being abduction victims had been spotted near Masallaci along Birnin Gwari route.

On the basis of the complaint, the DPO quickly dispatched men on a rescue expedition to the location, and when the hoodlums saw the approaching forces, they bolted, leaving sixteen (16) victims behind, whom the Operatives successfully rescued.

Patience Markus ‘F’, Mercy Musa ‘F’, Gloria Sunday ‘F’, Yunis Sunday ‘M’, Peace Ayuba ‘F’ (, Grace Sunday ‘F’, Sarafina Sunday ‘F’, Mechak Musa ‘M’, residents of Udawa village in Kaduna State, he added.

Musa Mudu ‘M’, Joshua Mudu ‘M’, Jummai Musa ‘F’, and Alfa Markus ‘M’ are also from the same LGA’s Gadagi Baggi Village.

Other victims include Abdulaziz Shola ‘M,’ Tanimu Muhammed ‘M,’ Mutari Idris ‘M,’ and Sani Musa ‘M,’ all of whom are from Lagos, Kano, Zamfara, and Niger States, respectively.

According to him, the Command’s success is due to community engagement, vigilance, and timely reporting to security agencies.

The message asked other towns to follow suit in order to protect themselves against criminal groups.
