Police Confirm Four Dead In Kano Gas Explosion

On Tuesday morning, the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Sama’ila Dikko, explained that gas, not a bomb, burst in the state.

During his visit to the scene of the incident, he clarified the situation.

Four people had died, according to Dikko, who spoke in Hausa.

According to NEWS DIRECT, numerous people were killed in an explosion outside a private school on Aba Road in Sabon Gari, Kano.

Rescue crews were working to free persons trapped inside the building where the explosion happened, according to the CP.

Meanwhile, social media users have been reacting to the situation.

A former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, said, “The unfortunate incident in Kano was a gas explosion, not a bomb blast, the Kano State Police Commissioner has confirmed.”

Uncle Deji @DejiAdesogan tweeted, “#Kano State Police Commissioner Sama’ila Dikko visited the scene of the explosion in Sabon Gari this morning and claimed it was a Gas Cylinder Explosion NOT Bomb Blast that affected a primary school with several casualties recorded.”

Collins Ezeanah @The_Calvary1 said, “I stay in Sabon Gari, Kano. The explosion shook our house. Students died. This country won’t be the end of us. We didn’t commit any crime being Nigerians.”
