Oyetola Celebrates Baba Fakayode On His Birthday

Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has congratulated a former member of the State House of Assembly and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the State, Barrister Joseph Oladapo Fakayode, who turns a year older today, 30 October, 2021.

Fakayode is the chairman of the APC stakeholders in Ila Federal Constituency and also a member of Igbimo Agba (Elders’s Committee.)

The Federal Constituency comprises Ila, Boluwaduro and Ifedayo local governments.

Oyetola said he was delighted to join family, friends, associates and wellwishers to rejoice with the erudite lawyer and former lawmaker for witnessing another birthday. He prayed God to grant the octogenarian many more years and good health in service to humanity.

Barrister Fakayode retired from active legal practice after practicing for over 50 years.

Governor Oyetola in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, described Baba Fakayode as an outstanding statesman, a progressive politician, respected community leader and one of the leading light and strong pillars of the APC in Osun.

Oyetola who acknowledged the celebrant’s contributions towards the enthronement of progressive leadership in the State said “Despite undergoing harrowing experiences in the inglorious years of opposition, Baba stood firm to provide leadership and direction to the younger elements in the progressive circle.

“On behalf of the government and people of Osun, I felicitate a worthy son of Osun, an outstanding elder statesman and one of our respected party leaders in the State, Barrister Joseph Oladapo Fakayode, on the auspicious occasion of his birthday anniversary.

“I pray to God, in His infinite mercies, to grant Baba many more years in good health and wisdom in the service of humanity. We hope to continue to draw from Baba’s wealth of experience and knowledge for many years to come,” Oyetola said.
