Owo Massacre: NGF Condoles Akeredolu, Donates N50m To Ondo Catholic Diocese

The Nigeria Governors Forum, or NGF, has paid a condolence visit to Ondo State to express its condolences to the governor, the people of the state, and the Catholic diocese of Ondo following the terror assault on St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-oluwa Street, Owo, on Sunday.

On Monday, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ekiti State and Chairman of the NGF, John Kayode Fayemi, paid a visit to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu at the Government House in Alagbaka, Akure, accompanied by Senator Ibikunle Amosun, former Governor of Ogun State and current Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District.
Both, aspirants for the All Progressives Congress, APC, were later led by Akeredolu to the residence of Bishop Jude Arogundade, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ondo, before moving to Owo to commiserate with Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye, the Olowo of Owo.

According to Fayemi, the NGF donated N50 million to the Catholic Diocese of Ondo to be given to the victims and their families.
