Opera News Wins Best Online Media Platform in Nigeria at The 2022 Gage Awards
It was a night of glitz and celebration at the Eko Hotels and Suites as Opera News Nigeria emerged the Best Online News Platform of the Year at the prestigious Gage Awards 2022. Opera News had been nominated with other frontline media in Nigeria with Arise News, Nairametrics, Arise TV, Businessday in the same category
The yearly GAGE Awards is a comprehensive promotion and celebration of digital personalities and brands in Nigeria and Africa with a strong federal government backing through the Nigerian Communications Commission and National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
This year’s event featured the biggest brands and personalities in Fintech, Adtech, Edtech, Healthtech, Insurtech, Logistics and Supply, Content and Media etc. The awards had 11 categories opened to the voting public while 13 categories were selected by the GAGE Awards’ eminent jury.
In one of the voting categories, Opera News Nigeria secured more votes from the public to win the ‘Online News Platform Of The Year’ ahead of other reputable media organisations such as Pulse NG, Nairametrics, Arise TV and Businessday.
The Gage awards recognises brands, corporates and individuals who have distinguished themselves in using digital innovations and technology solutions to drive business growth. Nigeria’s leading digital awards also promotes, recognises and rewards digital personalities and brands on a global platform.
The 2022 edition took place on June 12th at the prestigious Eko Hotels and suites.
