Ondo State Health Workers Organises Mass Burial For 30 Dead Cows

Yesterday, about 30 cows were found dead in Akungba Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government of Ondo state.

The cows belonged to Ibrahim Saliu and were found dead at A.U.D road, Akungba Akoko. The cows have been given a mass burial. The news was confirmed by Mrs Adenike Olugboyega, the Environmental Director of the local government council.

Health workers in the local government area have begun activities to ensure that dead meats are not sold to citizens and residents of the local government

The traditional ruler of Akungba has also stressed that dead meats should not be sold in the market and that butchers who do such will face the law. He said dead cows could be as a result of food poisoning while grazing.

Also, the Seriki Musulumi of Akungba Akoko, Chief Saliu Awesu thanked the health workers for the steps taken to ensure the the dead cows were given a mass burial.
