Ogunbiyi Ajibola Installed as First Baale Oke Owu Kuta
The ancient town of Kuta was vibrant with celebration on Friday as popular Lagos auto dealer, Ajibola Ogunbiyi, was installed as the first Baale Oke Owu Kuta. The ceremony was conducted by His Royal Majesty Oba Adekunle Makama of Kuta Kingdom.
Held at the Olowu of Kuta’s Palace, the traditional ceremony attracted the presence of Kuta kingdom chiefs, traditional leaders, and many families and friends of Ogunbiyi.
During the installation, Oba Makama urged the new Baale to leverage his entrepreneurial experience to foster economic development in Kuta and to engage with the town’s youth to drive infrastructural progress.
In his acceptance speech, Baale Ajibola Ogunbiyi pledged to collaborate closely with the king and various community groups to bring positive change to the kingdom.
He promised to honor the traditions of Kuta while integrating modern technology into the traditional governance system.
“Today marks the beginning of a new dawn for the people of Kuta. I will not only uphold our traditions, but I will also improve on them by adopting technology in our practices. As Baale, I am committed to bringing about positive changes. The youths will feel my impact as we network, collaborate, and politic to achieve the desired infrastructural and economic development for Kuta,” said Baale Ajibola Ogunbiyi.
