Social Media Bill: Nigerians Slam Desmond Elliot for Calling Youths ‘Children’

Nigerians are not happy with Desmond Elliot and have taken to Twitter to express their anger over a comment he made concerning Nigerian youths.

It all started after the Nollywood star cum politician had denied not endorsing social media regulation.

However, a video of him seemingly endorsing regulation of social media leaked today with many people attacking him. In the video, he called Nigerian youths ‘children’ and blamed them over social media attacks.

The lawmaker representing the Surulere constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly supported the social media bill, hence triggered an uproar across social media platforms.

Many people have asked for his constituents not to return him. He has also been called a liar.

  1. Are we not children’s, is he not a child of yesterday that we all watched in movies? He has said it all that we have the right to change government with our voters card and he shall casted out of that position by next election by the grace of God. I hate him because he is a proud guy is not yet a man he still a boy. If he had done anything good ever since he has given mandate, this one has spoilt everything good he did but to he hasn’t done anything rigth at all. May God punished his month for calling us children.
