Nigerian Soldiers Arrest Boko Haram Suppliers, Recover Weapons, Sex Enhancement Drugs, Others

Two Boko Haram militants were captured by troops from the 195 Battalion, Sector 1, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), who were working with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) on a clearance operation in the Muna general area of Borno State.

Brig.-General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, said in a statement released on Monday in Abuja that the troops also discovered several articles and utensils intended for Boko Haram restocking.

The successful operation was carried out on Saturday, according to Nwachukwu.

One hand grenade, one axe, one vehicle, five bicycles, two mobile phones (Techno and Infinix), and a quantity of Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricant were among the materials discovered from Boko Haram logistical providers, according to him.

According to him, the forces also recovered a big amount of hallucinogenic and sex enhancement medications, pesticides and insecticides, as well as food.

According to Nwachukwu, the attentive troops scoured the whole area during the clearance operation, eliminating many identified terrorist facilities.

During the operation, however, troops encountered terrorists near Labe Village, who attempted to flee but were quickly apprehended by the military.

According to him, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Faruk Yahaya, praised the troops’ awareness and urged them to maintain the operation’s aggressive posture in order to eliminate terrorist enclaves and dominate the general region.
