Nigerian Police Arrest 65-Year-Old Leader Of Notorious Kidnap Gang, 37 Members In Adamawa

Along with 37 other alleged criminals, Ibrahim Mohammed, a 65-year-old kidnapping ringleader, was apprehended in Adamawa State.

According to reports, Mohammed and members of his organization have kidnapped many people for ransom, including a nine-year-old child from Wuro-Dole in the state’s Girei Local Government Area.

A police report states that firearms, including AK-47 rifles and locally made pistols, were found on the thugs.

Mohammed claimed to be the head of the kidnapping ring to journalists on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the state police command exhibited the terrorists alongside Hajara Sini, a 55-year-old envious housewife who is accused of murdering a lady for dating her husband.

While parading the suspects, the state police commissioner, CP Sikiru Akande, said, “They were apprehended in connection with kidnapping activities, arm robbery, rape, culpable homicide among others.

“The suspects were apprehended in Fufore, Yola North and Girei Local Government Areas in the state.”
